Judge Felix wrote that Husband's recording motions "will be addressed on October 17, 2025." No order followed. Asked to rule on them and on his sanctions motion, he checked "not an emergency" ninety-eight minutes later and left every route to a ruling blank. As of Oct. 4, 2026, neither is decided; both are noticed for Oct. 9, 2026.
Rule 2.215(g)(1) requires every judge to enter an order within a reasonable time on every matter submitted. Told that the motions his order said would be addressed on October 17 still had no order, Judge Felix rules, sets a hearing, or states why not. His own form offered each route.

Ninety-eight minutes later the form came back with one box checked: "The matter is not an emergency and should be handled in the normal course." Left blank: "A hearing will be held by Family Law Division Judge"; "The matter is time sensitive and an expedited hearing is warranted"; "The matter is legally insufficient on its face and is denied." Judge Matthew Felix (the Oct. 14 promise; the Oct. 24 checkbox order). One motion, one form, one morning. Every duty here arises from Rule 2.215(g)(1) and the court's own Oct. 14 order on this motion alone; no other card is needed to establish it.
Art. I, s. 21, Fla. Const.: justice "shall be administered without sale, denial or delay." Rule 2.215(g)(1): "Every judge has a duty to enter within a reasonable time an order or judgment on every matter submitted to that judge." A label on the motion leaves both matters submitted and undecided.

On October 24, 2025 at 7:14 AM Husband filed an emergency motion asking the court to enter orders on two pending filings: the sanctions motion (Doc 239) and the motions to record hearings (Doc 245). The court's own October 14 handling order had said the Doc 245 motions "will be addressed on October 17, 2025 at 12:00 p.m." (Doc 247); the new motion stated that no order issued after that hearing. At 8:52 AM, 98 minutes after filing, Judge Felix signed a checkbox handling order with one box checked: "The matter is not an emergency and should be handled in the normal course." The boxes for an expedited hearing, for denial, and for abuse of the emergency process were left blank. The next setting of either motion for an evidentiary hearing was the April 17, 2026 omnibus day, 175 days later; in between, both appeared only on case management conference notices. Both are now among ten matters noticed for an eight-hour hearing on October 9, 2026, and as of September 26, 2026 no order deciding either appears in the case file (N-057, N-011). [IGNORED]
A motion asking a court to rule on matters it has already promised to address draws a ruling, a hearing date, or a reason. The court's own form offered routes to each: an immediate order, a hearing, an expedited hearing for a time-sensitive matter, even denial as legally insufficient. The box checked reached only the label: "The matter is not an emergency and should be handled in the normal course." Ninety-eight minutes, and both underlying requests stayed undecided.
Husband asked the court to enter orders on his sanctions motion and his motions to record hearings; the court had said it would address the recording motions on October 17, 2025; 98 minutes later a checkbox form marked the request "not an emergency" and sent it to the normal course, and neither motion was set for an evidentiary hearing for another 175 days
